The team at Agrination donates our leftover eggs to the Agouti Unit at the University of the West Indies Field Station so they can be fed to the animals housed within.
The Agouti Unit is used for research and breeding purposes with the goal of earning a better understanding the animal and moving towards domestication. And we can say with confidence, that a lot of beneficial (and ethical) research is currently being done.
This is just one of the many ways we try to implement out zero waste / integrated farming system approach.
