Описание: It’s one of the greatest Game Shows of all time this is The Price Is Right it originally aired in the 1950s with a simple format guess the price of a prize without going over then in 1972 a new version aired on CBS with host Bob Barker called The New Price Is Right and it became a huge hit for CBS in Australia The Price Is Right originally aired on Channel Ten between 1973 and 1974 hosted by Garry Meadows it became the 1st version to air outside of the U.S. and was very successful getting great ratings and airing in both Daytime and Primetime it became The New Price Is Right in 1981 on Channel Seven hosted by Ian Turpie with announcer John Deeks it lasted from from 1981 to 1985 it would still air in re runs during 1986 on Channel Seven in 1989 it returned to Channel Ten as part of the 10 TV Australia revamp hosted by Ian Turpie with announcer Gavin Wood it would be short lived lasting just 12 episodes before being cancelled due to low ratings in 1993 The Price Is Right returned on Channel Nine in the summer of 1993/94 as the summer replacement for Sale Of The Century and got massive ratings that it got moved to 5.30pm as the lead in to National Nine News up against Wheel Of Fortune in the ratings hosted by Larry Emdur with announcer Shawn Cosgrove it lasted from 1993 to 1998 before being cancelled after only a handful of episodes aired in 1998 it would air in re runs in 1999 in 2003 it retuned once again hosted by Larry Emdur with announcer Shawn Cosgrove after the original plan was to have James Sherry as host a Pilot was taped with James Sherry as host but plans changed and they went with Larry Emdur as host in 2004 it got expanded to an hour with the $100,000 Super Showcase, $500,000 Mega Showcase and the Monster Showcase it’s last episode of Channel Nine went to air on Thursday November 24th 2005 before being cancelled due to declining ratings with Larry Emdur soon joining Channel Seven to host the revamp Wheel Of Fortune then in 2012 The Price Is Right returned to Channel Seven hosted by Larry Emdur with announcer Brodie Young and it didn’t last long getting low ratings and negative reviews from fans and critics it won the Patrick Wayne Award for the Worst Game Show of 2011/12 by Game Show Garbage at the Logie Awards The Price Is Right has been nominated for 4 Logies for Most Popular Game Show in 1982, 1983 and 1984 and Larry Emdur for Most Popular Light Entertainment Personality in 1995 this video looks at The Price Is Right Promos from 1981 to 2005 this is The Price Is Right enjoy the video.
