The state in the trial against Nicholas Kassotis cross-examined him on Wednesday afternoon in a heated exchange. During this testimony, Kassotis denied that there was blood under the rug taken into evidence in the murder of his then-wife, Mindi. He claimed the original rug had been replaced because it allegedly smelled. The state pressed Kassotis about the events leading up to his wife's suspicious death.
