The last car before petrol became the mainstream is still going strong today. Duncan Pittaway, owner of the Beast of Turin, is one of the most passionate car enthusiasts out there. He has cars from a variety of eras, but his favourite car in the collection? No, not the Beast of Turin; it is, in fact, this wonderful coal-fired steam car. The 1893 Salvesen steam wagonette is not the quickest car to have a go at the Goodwood Hillclimb, but it is certainly one of the most entertaining.
