This Singer Stylist 522 had ground up feed gears. There are 4 gears in the lower end of the machine and I replaced them all since I already had to remove one of the hook drive gears to replace the two feed gears. There is an updated helical design for the hook drive gears that is quieter and more durable than the originals.
