It took me 12 years. There is no short version. If you want something find a way to get it. Work hard until you get it.
I had asked along the way several different people I had got tattooed by.
I promise you that if you go in and say hey I want to be an apprentice they are not going to want to talk to you.
A lot of places is hard to get into the tattoo industry because it is an amazing job.

Water color, abstract and polka trash all of that is happening overseas and it is filtering in to the United States.
That is what is changing the tattoo industry.

How do you practice on someone skin?
It is more trust than power. It takes a year to apprentice. You have to find an artist that is going to teach you and it takes at least 1 year.

When people come in here the first thing we tell them is go through all the books and pick your favorite artist.

You want to get the right tattoo with the right artist. You select the artist and that is how you get the right tattoo.
