Literally translated, it means "run seven times, rest once." This illustrates that encountering setbacks and difficulties is inevitable in our efforts and training, but we must continue to move forward despite these challenges.

In essence, it teaches us that even after seven attempts or efforts, experiencing one setback or rest is a natural part of the journey. Overcoming these obstacles and continuing to progress is what truly matters.

This phrase is universally applicable to various aspects of life, including our daily routines, work, and studies, reminding us that perseverance is key to overcoming challenges.

七 (しち, なな/ shichi,nana): "Seven." Represents the number of efforts or attempts made.

走 (そう, はし(る)/ sou, hashi(ru): "Run." Signifies the act of striving and making efforts.

一 (いち, ひと(つ)/ ichi,Hito(tsu): "One." Indicates the singular moment of rest or reflection.

座 (ざ, すわ(る)/ za,suea(ru)): "Sit." Represents the importance of pausing to reflect on our journey.
