This conscious breathing exercise is used along with our Ensa biofeedback system, that consists of hardware and a game (software) that runs on the local host. Its goal is to measure and train the state of peace in real time. This is done by measuring and training the user's cardiac coherence from an earclip.
The game displays on the screen the state of peace encoded in the user's heart rate variability (HRV), and the end user is able to see and modify the state of peace at will, simply by modifying their breathing pattern.
How HRV biofeedback works:
The user is instructed to breathe at different frequencies (approximately 6 respiratory cycles per minute), until the optimal respiratory rate is detected. This is known as resonant frequency breathing, and the method is known as cardiac coherence.
According to scientific studies, this method is effective in reducing levels of stress, anxiety and depression, as well as other emotional problems, in just 10 minutes of daily practice. In addition, it has no side effects. Our new protocol allows the user to reach the state of calm more quickly and the user only needs 4 weeks to complete our training.
