Here’s another edit from the archives, Snowboard halfpipe and vert Skateboarding from The BoardAid event in Andermatt sometime in 1998 I believe, all traces of this event have been wiped from the internet, or maybe it never even got a mention in the first place, buit I somehow doubt that. If any of you out there in internet land manage to find anything, then please leave me a link in the comments, I'd be most appreciative. Unfortunately the sponsors of this event are best boycotted for all the crimes against the planet they are responsible for, far too many to mention so I will name them here just to inform you who you should be boycotting, Nestlë , there I said it, now I know they make nice chocolate and all that but please don't do it, buy another brand any one as long as it's not Nestlë. I went to this event with the crew whose house I had been squatting in Laax, the least I could do was give them a lift to the comp, they were the Buvoli brothers, Nicolas Müller and Jamie Phillp, all of them Killed it riding wise especially this weekend especially Nicolas who ended up getting 1st in Pipe, he was still Riding Palmer Snowboards at the time, way before his Pro model on Gnu and this was even before he was picked up by Burton, which might well have even been in the works during this event. The vert skating was insane and Lincoln Ueda was going as high as the snowboarders bar maybe Alex Schmaltz who won the highest hit in the snow pipe. Unfortunately I cant remember who made the music I used in this piece, which sucks, I know, but I will come back and edit this post to fill the blanks, I know it’s round ‘ere somewhere. Enjoy!
