I wanted a space station to go with the Galaxy Explorer set 10497. I had 2 sets, so I decided to turn one of the sets into a space base station. This station is wider than 2 32x32 base pates.
The space base station comprises:
A 2-story command base.
Rocket launch pad.
2-stage rocket.
Scout flyer.
Moon rover.
Generator/comminications tower.
Launch system for the Scout flyer.
Boarding stairs for the Scout flyer.
The Moon rover has ground penetrating radar that can be lowered and retracted. The launch pad has a retractable refueling arm. The Command base has a door to the side and has openable glass facade for easy access to the minifigs. On the ground floor there's a seating area and a bed. On the top floor there's the command station with swivel chair. The Scout flyer can be placed on the lauch area, which can be manually tilted in 3 different angles.
