Diesel Locomotive Works Varanasi...!!!!
This is my second trip to the DLW Varanasi , first trip Link ( • DIESEL LOCOMOTIVE WORKS (DLW) : A TRIP INS... ) .
My main moto of this visit was the Diesel to electric converted locomotive which DLW is in production. It was a prized watch to see the loco named WAGC 3 inside the plant getting its finishing job done.
It is a joint mixture of ALCO Cab & WAM 4 's Body and engine..it is to be moved in MUed stated for better visibility . One locomotive produces roughly of 4400 HP . Presently the loco's are on testing and on Unit A 260 Major faults have emerged and it is expected to roll out of the workshop in the month of April - May 2018. Simens have worked on it for all the electrical components inside the loco motive.
On being manufactured it will be an engineering marvel in the field of Locomotives and will be the first of its type in the planet...!!!
