MELODY WRITING CHECKLIST:
1) 1st note starting position
2) last note ending position
3) Rhythm (connecting 1st & last note)
4) Modify note lengths (some short, some long) - long notes draw out emotion, short notes add urgency
5) Pitch or Pitch Bend (rarely both but sometimes can work)
5a) Could also be harmonies, making notes into chords
6) OPTIONAL: Velocity
7) OPTIONAL: Décor notes (32th notes, Flam notes etc)
8) OPTIONAL: Swing
