Our Heifetz Ensemble in Residence members Nigel Armstrong (violin), Steven Baloue (viola), and Juan-Salvador Carrasco (cello) performing the charming Aubade for String Trio in C major, composed in 1899 while a student at the Paris Conservatory by Romanian composer Georges Ensescu (1881-1955). Listen at 02:54 to hear how the homesick Enescu incorporated the Romanian National Anthem into the end of the piece! Captured in concert at the final HEIR performance of Spring 2022, titled "On Wings of Song," performed on the South Market Stage of Grace Christian School in Staunton, Va.
