When your fork seal lets go and you have no other options, this technique can save the day IF the lip of the seal is not damaged.
It might be aggregated debris in the grease groove that leaves just enough gap for the oil to ease through, it would be a small piece of debris holing the seal away from the sliding tube or it could be a rip/tear. Without inspection, you don't know......
You also have to check where all the oil went:- calipers, pads, rotors, engine and bodywork and clean it all up.
So, get your sleeves rolled up and get into it!
