From my North Wales accommodation in Penmaenmawr I headed west along the A55 into Anglesey. I did a clockwise drive around Anglesey starting at Ynys Llandwyn and Newborough Forest. This was my favourite spot in Anglesey. Outstanding beaches and landscape as well as some very scenic chapels, lighthouses and small buildings. Secondly I headed to Eglwys Cwyfan which is a small chapel out on a tiny island in the Ocean. I unfortunately couldn't get close enough due to the tide being in but still a pleasure to see from a distance. Then I stopped at a beautiful beach location called Trearddur Bay before reaching the south and north stack lighthouses in holyhead region. Continuing clockwise I reached the most Northernly section of Wales mainland at Traeth Ynys. Heading south now along the A5025, I headed to the abandoned Porth Wen Brickworks site which was a unique and pleasant surprise. The ocean here was turquoise blue with a lovely country green backdrop. Then finally I finished in the south east region of Anglesey briefly exploring locations of Red Wharfs bay, Beaumaris Castle, Penmon point and Tywyn Du Lighthouse. This was one of my favourite days on my Wales Roadtrip. I am very fond of Anglesey.
