Central government employees had hoped that the government might announce a hike in the Dearness Allowance during this meeting. The Dearness Allowance (DA) is provided to employees to mitigate the impact of inflation on their salaries. Central government employees are anticipating an increase of 3% to 4% in their current DA, which could bring the total to 63%–64%. Dr. Manjit Patel, National President of the All India NPS Employees Federation (AINPSEF), stated to Jagran Business that the government should announce the pending Dearness Allowance hike—effective from July—as soon as possible.

8th Pay Commission से पहले केंद्रीय कैबिनेट की बैठक में महंगाई भत्ते में बढ़ोतरी को लेकर कोई फैसला नहीं हुआ। केंद्रीय कर्मचारियों को उम्मीद थी कि इस बार कैबिनेट बैठक में सरकार महंगाई भत्ते में बढ़ोतरी का एलान कर सकती है. महंगाई भत्ता (DA) कर्मचारियों को उनकी सैलरी पर महंगाई के असर को कम करने के लिए दिया जाता है। केंद्रीय सरकारी कर्मचारियों को अपने मौजूदा DA में 3% से 4% की बढ़ोतरी की उम्मीद है, जिससे यह कुल 63% से 64% (DA Hike) हो सकता है। ऑल इंडिया एनपीएस एम्पलाइज फेडरेशन (AINPSEF) के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष डॉक्टर मंजीत पटेल ने जागरण बिजनेस को बताया कि सरकार को जल्द से जल्द जुलाई महीने से पेंडिंग महंगाई भत्ते में बढ़ोतरी का एलान कर देना चाहिए।
