Hollace Oakes plays the fiddle tune Roxanna Waltz along the trail at Pilot Mountain State Park in North Carolina, sharing a moment of live bluegrass fiddle music after a request from Ralph Jones who hopes to play along. His original request was for Gardenia Waltz, but Hollace thinks Roxanna Waltz should be easier if he wants to try and play along. Maybe we will do Gardenia Waltz later.
This video is from the trail on Pilot Mountain in North Carolina. There were a few walkers who stopped to enjoy the music and thus the clapping at the end. One of those unexpected moments when you visit Appalachia. (This is a North Carolina State Park and just down the road from Mount Airy and all things Andy Griffith.)
