How To Make & Can Bone Broth | Cutting the Bones to Expose Bone Marrow
INGREDIENTS:
1 Turkey carcass - chop bones with cleaver to expose marrow
***If you don't have the equipment or don't feel comfortable with this step...SKIP IT. Just put the bones in as they are.
distilled water
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. whole pepper corns
1/3 cup apple cider vinegar - for 8 qt. stock pot or more.
4 stalks chopped celery
4 chopped carrots
1 large onion with skin - quartered
fresh meat trimmings and fat from turkey
If any left over fresh parsley in fridge
Bay leaf - optional
Will need large 8 quart or larger stock pot
Low simmer for 8-12 hours.
Strain through fine mesh colander. Can also strain through cheese cloth.
