Noumea Revisit on the Carnival Splendor: Souvenirs, Sea Snakes and Smoothies.

Описание: A cruise from Sydney to the South Pacific on board the Carnival Splendor usually includes a stop at Noumea, New Caledonia. However, on our Cruise in May 2023, we had not one but two stops at Noumea. This was most likely due to some ports being closed due to concerns about the COVID-19 virus being brought in by visiting Cruise ship passengers.
Since we had already visited Noumea earlier in the week, this time we decided to just catch the FREE Shuttle bus down to the Ferry terminal and grab some more souvenirs for the folks back home, then carry on to check out Lemon Bay. We walked back around the ocean road from the Aquarium stop to Lemon Bay where a quantity of restaurants, bars, and coffee shops exist.
On the way, we saw a sea snake on the rocks. Or to be more precise, I walked over the top of him while checking the view and noticed him on the way back.
We had refreshing smoothies as it was so hot, followed by coffee at another venue.
On the way back we discovered a shortcut back to the Shuttle bus stop.
Noumea is a very picturesque location with views of the bays and out to the Islands.
