Better the Devil you Sew SS15

Описание: Oxfam Sewing club was founded in January of 2012, it was the idea of our shop manager Sophie Saunders. Who wanted to do something to rescue the imperfect clothes and beautiful fabrics that we get donated every day. "We've created a new type of volunteering role, for volunteers who creative and have want to do something different. It also creates a unique selling point for our shop, which is full of clothing outlets and rival charity shops" The Better the Devil you Sew brand has generated approximately £4000 for Oxfam.

We've had some marvellous volunteers over the years and our current team includes: Nicola Keen, Shifrah Fram, Alison Finch, Lilly Taylor, Ceilidh Jackson Baker, Sanna Karjalainen, Maree Parava; Led by the sewing club leader Charlotte Ragucos. On the 17th of May we gathered on a windy, but sunny Sunday to photograph the latest collection: 'Better the Devil you Sew SS15'. Natalie the shop volunteer and photography/film student took the photos, as she has done for everyone of our photoshoots since the project began.

BTDYS:SS15 is the 7th range produced by the sewing club. Who has brought out a winter and a summer range each year since the start. The club meets twice a week in the shop basement and sews from 6.30-9pm
