WE FINALLY MADE IT TO KYOTO! 🍵 | the best matcha & autumn vibes in uji
Day 1 in Kyoto and we are already in Matcha Heaven! We’re kicking off the final leg of our Asia 2025 trip by heading to Uji, the tea capital of Japan. Honestly, we were just here for the street food and souvenir shopping, but the autumn foliage and views over the river totally stole the show.
From a slow morning at our ryokan, Ryokufuso, to basically drinking our weight in matcha at Nakamura Tokichi Honten, this day was a 10/10. Come wander with us while we shop through Byodo-in Omotesando, discover new cafes, and see why Kyoto easily becomes the prettiest part of Japan we’ve ever visited.
