Join SJSU King Library’s Africana, Asian American, Chicano, Native American (AAACNA) Studies Center for a walk through the Springfield, Illinois 1908 Race Riot, the catalyst for the formation of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) as Dawn Spears talks you through her Black Legacy Images Collection of historical postcards.
This event is in part of the NAACP Advocating for Justice Exhibition located in the AAACNA Studies Center on the 5th floor of SJSU King Library until March 1, 2026.
