Vajir Pinacle is located on the southside of Mahuli fort, in Shahapur Taluka, Thane District, Maharashtra.

The actual pinnacle is around 280 feet and its south side of Mahuli Fort and known as a one of the most difficult trek/climb in Sahyadri.

Vajir has been a popular trekking destination and a paradise for rock-climbers. The nearest place to reach Vajir pinnacle is Vandre village, from here you need to do a trek from a dense forest. And it’ll take around 2:00-2:30 hrs to reach the main pinnacle. The forest surrounding Mahuli and Vajir has been declared as a Tansa Wildlife Sanctuary. To climb Vajir Pinnacle you need proper ropes, harness, carabiner, zoomer and all the technical equipment with guidance of the technical climber team.

Shahaji Raje, father of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, had this Mahuli fortress under his belt. Apart from this there is no such a history for Vajir pinnacle.

You need to carry sufficient water and food for this trek as there is no water available near pinnacle or during the way.

Best season to visit or climb this pinnacle is October end to February end.
