Getting started recording vocals (build your own studio)

Описание: OLD VIDEO. All of this stuff is still good, and the explanation of what the gear is and what it does is still useful. Gear wise though, I would recommend not using Pod Farm for vocals, just get yourself a Scarlett 2i2 interface which include some mic pre amps in it. The WA12 mic pre I show in this is a good pre amp, but not worth it. If you are going to get a good mic pre, get the UA 610 solo, otherwise just use the mic pres that come with the scarlett 2i2! If you want to buy a a good DAW instead of downloading a cheap one, Sonar x3 is good, but I think you will get better use out of getting Cubase, or Pro Tools, or Logic Pro X! More people in the industry use those, so its much easier to get help, and find good plug ins for those programs.

All the equipment I use is listed below. I will put 2 direct links to videos so you can hear my vocals with my old equipment as well as my new equipment. My old equipment costs around $250 -$300 whilst my new equipment is probably around $1000-1500 and the sound quality difference isn't much!
