Ocean Floral Goddess Art

These mix-media paintings are inspired by the organic and unique essence of today's Oriental Dance and how I, as a performer, instructor and student, has experienced it so far. This dance has a long, winding and ever-growing history that branches to all corners of the world. I involve Earth elements into the artwork's conversation to remind us that we are of this amazing Earth - organic, never perfect and beautiful all the same - and that we should cherish and take care of each other and ourselves as we do our home, our planet, our Mother.

Process: Some of the florals are taken from my garden and preserved and pressed to keep their color. I do not use synthetic florals. The dancers are inspired by how movements and music make me feel. Drawing helps me describe the dance's nuance's, - the delicate, the flow, the heavy, the accents, and much more. I finish the art with a coat of resin to preserve it all together.

Painter, belly dancer and tea lover. I enjoy spending time outdoors and relaxing with a nice cup of tea. I am based in Miami, FL where I teach regular belly dance classes and create art.
