►HI EVERYONE
I recently watched (and read) Heartstopper (I know I am so late) and I fell in love with it!! :,) I mean, who doesn't?? Is it even possible to watch this show without having the biggest smile on your face the whole time??? (I don't believe it until I see it and even then...no, still don't believe it. That's impossible ^^ )
Heartstopper is everything I didn't know I needed. Sound cliche, but for me it is so true! This show is so wholesome, so heartwarming and so much fun to watch (and very aesthetic)! The characters actually look and feel like teenagers and the topics the show deals with are relevant for most people and are portrayed in a way that is serious and lighthearted enough at the same time.
I am so so greatful for the amazing LGBTQ+ representation in this show (and the visibility of bi people through Nick, because bisexuals still get erased, stigmatized and/or overly sexualized in the media) and how positive it is presented, because we need more of that! :)

Nick and Charlie are so adorable together! (Especially the hugs, omg!!). I think I've never seen two people look at each other with so much love in their eyes and happiness on their faces. Makes one feel extra single lol. ;)
I loved that we got both of their perspectives from the beginning on and that against all stereotypes Nick was never this cool and tough, not-in-touch-with-his-feelings type of guy, who acted like a jerk when being with his friends. Instead we got a boy, who showed his feelings, allowed himself to feel them and be vulnerable, shared his struggles with Charlie and called out homophobic behaviour (and the bystanders).
I think overall this show portrayed the power of good communication and it's something we can all learn from!

I feel like I can rant about how much I love this show forever, but I'm just going to add two more things I adored:
1. Letting boys cry!! And letting them act their age! It is so important to show that this is normal and okay and not whatever toxic masculinity crap we got too much from. :/
2. Nick's coming out scene. PERFECTION! Boy, was I nervous, even though his relationship with his mother was so good (again, I loved that he told her about his emotions and struggles and that she was there for him. We stan healthy communcation & good relationships with parents! ^^). I just love Nick SO much (who doesn't right?) and I was just as nervous as he was. But it was such a great scene, so well written and acted out that I think I won't ever tear up watching it :,)

I am beyond excited for the second season (they have grown up so much aaahh) and I hope the show keeps its light and heartwarming tone. (This is actually my new comfort show and I need everyone to be happy please :,)

Anyway, this video took me so long to make, because I kept changing everything all the time. There are just too many cute scenes and dialogues to fit in.
I think the song fits so well to their relationship:
At first it's about Charlie not giving up on (his crush on) Nick, despite everyone telling him to.
It's about Nick, who is confused by his feelings, but never pushes Charlie away, but wants to be with him and figure it out all (together).
And in the end it's about how Nick doesn't let Charlie give up on them, because he is scared he is going to ruin Nick's life (this poor boy has been through too much...).
