Happy New Year – and welcome to 2023!

Another year has passed and we're still being challenged a lot by all the things that have happened and are still happening. I must sound like a broken record, but the last three years were all very, very tough and demanding for everyone. From pandemics to wars to continuous political and social disruptions – it's an understatement to say that this year wasn't the best either.

It was also my second year as a full time musician and it's the first time I had to deal and work with major setbacks. After more than 10 years on YouTube, this year was the first time that I feel like my channel is slowly coming to an end. It still feels so surreal, but the issues are all still there and it still is an uphill battle. Coming to terms with that and doing the best thing out of it might be the best and bravest thing I did this year in regards to me being an "internet musician".

And it was only possible because of you.

You were all so supportive and kind to me – whether by sending me comments and messages or by just silently listening to my music. You were the reason why I didn't give up this YouTube channel. It would have made so much sense to simply focus on the things that are working amazingly right now (looking at you, Spotify), but I just can't let my YouTube journey end just yet.

As long as you are here, I'm not going anywhere. I will still upload single songs and playlists here, I will still respond to as many comments as possible and I will still hang out with you in premieres and livestreams.

The YouTube road might not lead anywhere anymore, but I have the best company I could wish for – so I will enjoy it a little longer.

Thank you so, so much for making my 2022 bearable, for giving me the strength and bravery to go on and for listening to my music.
