More Violence In Manipur: Mob Torches State Minister Susindro Meitei’s Godown In Imphal

Описание: Violence In Manipur: On the night of June 23, a private godown belonging to L. Susindro Meitei, the state Minister of Public Health, Engineering, and Consumer Affairs, was torched. The incident took place at around 9.30 p.m. on June 23 in Khurai, located in Imphal East. Security forces resorted to the use of tear gas shells to disperse the mob. The attack took place a night before the scheduled all-party meeting in Delhi, to be chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, to discuss the situation in Manipur.
