Protesters gathered in downtown Atlanta for a peaceful march and rally opposing federal immigration enforcement policies.
Video from the scene shows demonstrators walking through city streets as the event moved from Selena S. Butler Park toward the Georgia State Capitol and the Atlanta ICE Field Office. The rally was organized by the group 50501 Georgia and was titled “ICE Out Everywhere.”
Organizers say the demonstration focused on civil liberties, civil rights, and due process, and was intended to remain nonviolent.
