The November club tournament on Clarks Hill was another tough one. Despite having found a lot of fish the day before, conditions changed. The bait moved back out deep, and the shallow fish were a lot tougher to catch. I still caught fish but couldn't locate the same numbers as the day before. I also never had a big bite which really hurts this time of year especially.
Cranking and a swim bait were the keys to getting the bites I had. ALX ZOLO McSmalls, ZOLO Splittail, and IKOS Hustler are the rods I most frequently reach for in the fall for shad imitating baits.
