Jesus’ return is often described as “coming in the clouds.”
But what does that really mean?
In Scripture, clouds are not about physical appearance,
but about how God reveals Himself.
In the Old Testament,
God came hidden in clouds—
at Mount Sinai,
over the Tabernacle,
and within the Temple.
After the cross, judgment was completed.
There was no longer a reason for God
to appear again in fear and fire.
So God chose a different way to come.
Not outwardly.
Not visibly.
But through Scripture,
hidden like the clouds,
so that He could come within us by the Holy Spirit.
If Jesus has already come in this way,
why are we still waiting?
And why did God choose Scripture
as the form of His return?
