DeHavilland Q400 aircraft has main landing gears installed in its engine nacelle. Shock strut provides the facility to the landing gears to absorb an enormous amount of impact load during landing and prevent bumping effects during taxi and rolling for take-off. The orifice tube in each main landing gear controls the flow of hydraulic fluid inside the cylinder of the shock strut. Replacement of this tube may be required due to Airworthiness Directive, Service Bulletin, End of its service life and other reasons.
Replacement of orifice tube is a very important and critical task that requires experienced and highly competent engineers. This particular aircraft is owned by US-Bangla Airlines and this film is captured in the US-Bangla Airlines hangar at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
