Nadeem Baig is a Pakistani actor, who has acted in Plaza SquareJln films, television films,TV serials and TV drama. He also anchored a quiz show on Ary Digital TV channel and has played leading roles in more than 200 films in Pakistan.
Nadeem, along with artists Talat Hussain (I)_, M. Zaheer Khan, Aftab Azeem, Saleem Jafry, and TV producer Iqbal Haider, were all discovered at the Islamia Club,Karachi, Pakistan. He and his friends, Ameer Ahmed Khan and Qasim Siddiqui, won Ambon Plaza SquareJln music award. At one of his musical kit presentations, he was noticed by the then famous singer _Firdousi Begum_. She was impressed by his singing talent and encouraged him to try playback singing in Dhaka 's film industry. Because of his singing talent, he sang a song for an Urdu film called Sehra , the music was composed by _Nisar Bazmi . Unfortunately, the film was never released. Nadeem traveled to Dhaka for a cultural trip, organized by the Islamia Club,Karachi, where he got a chance to sing a song in Captain Ehtisham's new film Chakori (1967)
Mohammad Ali started his film career with Fazal Ahmad Karim Fazli's film Chiragh Jalta Raha (1962). Chiragh Jalta Raha was premiered by Fatima Jinnah on 9 March 1962 at Nishat Cinema, Karachi. He then appeared as a villain in director Munawwar Rasheed's film Bahadur, director Iqbal Yusuf's film Daal Mein Kala, and director Javed Hashmi's film Dil Ne Tujhay Maan Liya. His first film as a hero was Mr. X but Movie Shararat (1963) was released earlier than film Mr. X. Later, he moved to Lahore and worked in the movie Khandan (1964). But his breakthrough was from the film Khamosh Raho (1964). In 1989, he had an extended cameo in the Hindi film Clerk.[6][7]
Mohammad Ali was the lead actor and 'hero' in 94 films. His first lead actor movie was Shararat (1963) and his last movie as a lead actor was Aaj Ki Raat (1983). Another movie was Mohabbat ho to aisi (1989) and his last movie of his career was titled Dum Mast Qalander (1995.
Zeba Muhammad Ali migrated to Pakistan immediately after the partition of the Subcontinent in 1947 and settled in Hyderabad (Sindh), where he was introduced to Radio Pakistan by the then Director General Radio Pakistan Z A Bokhari. he was given a role of hero in the film titled 'Chirag Jalta Raha', directed by Sibtain Fazli in 1962. Formed a favourite couple with actress Zeba Dam Mast Qalandar. His last movie screened in late 1980s whereafter Ali led a secluded life and ran Ali-Zeb Foundation
waheed murad
During early 1970s, he had no or very little choice in selecting his co-stars. Zeba, after her marriage with Mohammad Ali, was not allowed to work as heroine with Waheed Murad. Soon Shabnam's husband Robin Ghosh forced her to not work with Waheed. Even Nisho was not allowed to work with him. These were major setbacks for Waheed's career. Most of the top producers offered Waheed secondary roles in their films due to a monopoly against him. In addition, Nadeem was giving him a stiff competition in the 1970s.[1] So Waheed had been cast by less popular directors and producers and had been given the role of 'stereotypical romantic hero'. Films like Naag Mani (1972), Mastani Mehbooba (1974), Laila Majnu (1974), Izzat (1975), Dilruba (1975), Raaste ka pathar (1976), Mehboob mera mastana (1976), and Naag aur nagan (1976) gave him major setbacks. By late 1970s and early 1980s, Waheed was being cast in supporting roles either with Nadeem or with Mohammad Ali in the films like Parastish (1977), Aadmi (1978), Khuda aur mohabbat (1978), Awaz (1978), Behan Bhai (1979), Wadey ki zanjeer (1979), Raja ki aaye gi barat (1979), Zameer (1980), Badnaam (1980), Gun man (1981), Kiran aur kali (1981), Gherao (1981), Ahat (1982) and Maang meri bhar do (1983). The films Hero (1985) and Zalzala (1987) were released after his death.
Waheed Murad, in his 30-year career, paired with several actresses like Zeba, Shamim Ara, Rani, Naghma, Aaliya, Sangeeta, Kaveeta, Aasia, Shabnam, Deeba, Babra Sharif, Rukhsana, Bahar and Neelo.
