In this video, I'm showing how I installed my PL-259 connector on a RG-213 (or RG-8) coaxial cable. I'm not the only one using this technic but after 25 years of hamming this is the best one.
Please note that if you make a connector while the other end is connected to a DC Ground antenna, the PL-259 will be short when tested, that's normal. If it's short be sure the antenna is DC ground, otherwise it's faulty.
