why am i frustrated? well, as u may know, items in the end game require a lot of work, for one or another pen debos is a lot of work... like months and months of work. i dont count myself into those people (anymore). but if u thought pen debos are already insanely rng dependend, wait for what comes after it. items like pen fg, shing alch stones or even just splendid alch stones - they are just one click away - or years away: that fully depends on how lucky u are. no skill, no effort, just rng. in my eyes, skill and effort takes u only that far, as an example, skill and effort (skill = how u approach the journey: grindstyle, failstack usage, etc) helps u a lot for pen debo accomplishments, even if u are the most cursed rng player in bdo, especially nowdays - with 20 pity system for pen debos - u will get the pen debo!
but break that down to pen fg or even worse: splendid/shining stones.
while for pen fg u can still argue: "ey, eventually u will hit the 1000 pitys, right?" - ye right, but thats like what... up to 12 trillion silver in cron stones? i dont think effort or skill helps a lot here. and worst thing is, u just know someone else will get that shit with a lousy 100 fs and a free hammer on a 0.00001% chance lmao. but ok, i must say, at this point im kind of used to that already - still sucks, but im used to it.
but for shining/splendids. brother. we are speaking about 3% chance successes. think about it. similiar as pen fg, one can get it in 1 click, and another might not even get it with years of work. and what really annoys me on the alch stone system is that its straight up not fun. a player has to sit infront of their screen, clicking stupid ass alch stones nonstop to even get slightest progress done towards their goal. we are speaking about 150-200 hrs for a splendid MINIMUM if u are average in rng. that time will be u not playing a video game to have fun, no, u are playing it to work in it. its like working on a production line. u just repeat the same handwork for sekunds... minutes... hours... over days.... weeks.... months.... MAYBE even years .... like bro, what is this shit lol.
and thats just splendid, imagine shining. ffs, unthinkable.
anyway, that obviously pisses me off, but what also pisses me off that rng is uncontrollable. a friend of mine, whos recently came back to the game and been grinding a lot to work towards his pen deboreka necklace gets completely dumped by rng, going 20/20 on a 320fs ... and than a guy like me, who really doesnt need to be carried, gets to have 2 pen debos in 5 clicks like this. i felt for my friend, i spoke to him a lot recently again, i had to witness his fails, and they might have hurt me more than they hurt him when i saw them live happening - having those thoughts in my head just pissed me off a lot. hints, thats why i had this reaction.

BUT i know some ppl dont value thoughts of others a lot, so let it be said that im GRATEFUL for my rng, im also HAPPY for myself, but im angry at the game for beeing the way it is.
