The Grip Helper is constructed from a junior (29mm) receiver on the end of a 45-degree angle arm which can extended from 35.4” / 90cm to 70.8" / 180cm and a 4.5” Griphead on the other. Designed for a scrim, silk or blackout, it can be used with a lighting fixture from the same stand.

Hello and welcome to this short video on the Kupo Grip Helper (KG603211)
The grip helper is designed to easily mount a silk, scrim, flag or any other gobo, or go-between, to the same light stand supporting a light fixture with a junior pin. This handy device saves the need for extra stands and extra grip gear to support these light modifiers.
The grip helper consists of a junior 1-1/8” male pin on the bottom . . .and a junior receiver on top.
Extending downward at a 45° angle from the junior pin/receiver combo is and adjustable arm.
The adjustable arm extends from 35.4 to 70.8”. . .
and is secured in place with an aluminum knob.
The arm terminates in a 4.5” double gag grip head.
The grip head features four v-shaped holes, to accept tubing sizes 3/8”, 1/2", 5/8” and 1” in diameter.
Let’s rig an LED Fresnel light fixture with a silk to the same light stand using our grip helper.
First we will bag our roller combo stand for safety.
Slide the grip helper’s junior pin into the junior receiver of the combo stand and turn the knob clockwise to secure in place.
Now slide the junior pin of the light fixture into the junior receiver in the grip helper.
Secure the light in place with receiver’s knob.
Angle the light fixture to your liking.
Now we’ll mount our 4 by 4 foot silk, or “four by” as the pros call to the 4.5” grip head at the end of the arm by sliding the 3/8” pin into the corresponding 3/8” hole in the grip head . . .angle the silk so it is parallel to the face of light fixture . . .and secure in place by turning Kupo’s signature T shaped handle clockwise until snug.
Strike the light so you can see the light beam.
Loosen the knob in the middle of the arm and extend the arm to increase the beam size on the modifier
You are now ready to roll camera . . . and ACTION!
Now that’s a wrap. Thanks for watching. When it comes to your image making dreams and your grip equipment at Kupo we like to say, “Never Let Go!”
