Hello, friends! Get ready for a very special and fun day of celebrations in Nepal! All these exciting things happen on the same full moon day in the winter!

1. Chyala Punhi - The Festival of Breaking Clay Pots : On this day, locals gather to symbolically break old, unused clay utensils in public squares. More than just a cleanup, this ancient Newar tradition is a powerful act of cleansing and renewal, believed to usher in good luck and refresh the community's spirit.

2. Changunarayan Kalash Yatra - The Divine Procession to Hanumandhoka (Bhaktapur to Kathmandu) : Watch as the sacred Kalash, embodying Lord Changunarayan (Lord Vishnu) from Nepal's oldest temple, makes its arduous trek from Changunarayan in Bhaktapur all the way to Hanumandhoka Durbar Square in Kathmandu. This historical procession, accompanied by silver idols of Vishnu, Lakshmi, and Saraswati, symbolizes the deity's ritual visit to the ancient royal palace, culminating in blessings from the Living Goddess Kumari.

3. Seto Machindranath's Das Karma Puja: On Poush Purnima, a week-long ritual of purification, bathing, and repainting the beloved deity culminates. These sacred rites symbolically mirror the ten rites of passage (Das Karma) of a human life, representing a spiritual rebirth and renewal for this revered deity, worshipped by both Hindus and Buddhists. 4. Tu Muikegu :- The tradition of Tu Muikegu is a specialized ritual practiced by the Newar community, particularly in Makhan bahal, on the day of Mila Punhi.
