The interim government, in just one year, has reshaped the foundation of primary education.
The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education has delivered a wave of reforms — in classrooms, in teacher training, in technology, and in care for every child.
Across the country, 16,247 new classrooms, 15,144 wash blocks, 4,261 boundary walls, and 6,140 tube wells are being constructed in government primary schools. In Dhaka and Purbachal, 30 brand new school buildings are nearing completion. And in Cox’s Bazar, a ten-storey Leadership Training Center now stands tall — ready to shape the next generation of educators.
Teachers are the heartbeat of learning. That’s why the 2025 recruitment policy is under process, with 16,027 new assistant teachers soon to be appointed — covering general, physical education, and music. Another 2,382 head teachers will join from the Bangladesh Civil Service non-cadre pool. A new software-based gradation system will ensure promotions are fair, transparent, and modern.
And for professional growth — 7,115 teachers will receive advanced training this year. A baseline survey will measure how much our students are truly learning.
