Описание: “The U.S. and Japan in Modern History” with Professor Hiro Aida. He is a professor of journalism and intellectual history at School of Global Studies and Collaboration, Aoyama Gakuin University in Tokyo. He is also a contributing editorial writer for Japan’s Kyodo News in Tokyo and an editorial board member of The American Interest magazine in Washington, D.C. where he has written highly regarded articles on American foreign policy past and present. Aida has also served as columnist, chief editorial writer, chief senior writer and bureau chief in both Washington and Geneva, and has been contributing writer for a number of major Japanese magazines. He has been a visiting professor at Kansai University in Osaka, as a research associate at the Center for Interdisciplinary Study of Monotheistic Religions of Doshisha University in Kyoto and as a guest lecturer at prestigious universities in Tokyo while working as a journalist. Professor Aida is a graduate of Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. This keynote will take place on Thursday, September 5th at 7 p.m. in the Griswold Lecture hall
