Terraria: King Slime invasion

Wow, I almost died twice during this, I didn't think I'd even have to use about 3 potions. For some reason they do an ass ton of damage when they hit you (I had full Jungle armor). Basically, King Slimes start off big and get smaller as they are hit, making smaller slimes as they go (which are of no issue at all with their measly 1 damage). The smaller they are, the faster they bounce around until the point comes where it's very hard to outrun it.
I had to run away a couple of times in this fight to get my HP back up, I was VERY lucky at the second near death experience right near the end. The wood platform above was to stop falling stars hitting them as I idled doing other stuff at the computer. You need to find the closest patch of grass to the end of the world and dig yourself in and basically just wait until it spawns, doesn't take too long. Holding a water candle helps. I had 7 here, which was the maximum number that could spawn, since nothing else was after.
