Harish Trivedi has published books and articles on Postcolonial Literature and Theory, Translation Studies and Indian/Comparative Literature, and is currently a contributing editor of an international project based in Stockholm for writing a history of World Literature. He has recently edited a book on the medieval bhakti poet Abdur-Rahim Khan-i-Khana. His works include Colonial Transactions: English Literature and India, Post-colonial Translation: Theory and Practice and the Penguin Classics edition of Kim by Rudyard Kipling. He has written on and translated various Hindi, Urdu and Sanskrit writers, including Ashvaghosha, Premchand, Manto and Ajneya. He has edited and contributed two chapters to a book on the bhakti poet Abdur-Rahim Khan-e khana.

Accomplished Hindi writer Geetanjali Shree’s new book Ret Samadhi is an adventurous saga stemming from the joint family and spilling into many stories of our times, culminating in a denouement across the India-Pakistan border. In a session of readings and conversation, she talks of her novel and the creative impulses behind it with post colonial litterateur Harish Trivedi.

Described as the 'greatest literary show on Earth', the Jaipur Literature Festival is a sumptuous feast of ideas.

Ananthamurthy along with literary luminaries including Amish Tripathi, Chima¬manda Ngozi Adichie, Vikram Chandra and Vikram Seth. An annual event that goes beyond literature, the Festival has also hosted Amartya Sen, Amitabh Bachchan, the late A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Oprah Winfrey, Stephen Fry, Thomas Piketty and former president of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzai.

The Jaipur Literature Festival is a flagship event of Teamwork Arts, which produces over 33 highly acclaimed performing arts, visual arts and literary festivals across more than 40 cities globally.
