Conversations about race and racism continue to impact African nations' foreign policy into the 21st century, including with two major foreign powers in Africa, China and the United States. In the wake of both racist incidents in Covid-era China and the Black Lives Matter protests in the U.S., how do Africans perceive racism in China versus America? Dr. Grieve Chelwa, Inaugural Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute on Race and Political Economy at The New School, shares his thoughts.
