High-level event: Artificial intelligence and energy (19 November 2025)

Описание: Artificial intelligence is a game changer and brings a huge potential to strengthen the resilience of the power system. To harness the opportunities and tackle the challenges, the European Commission is preparing a Strategic Roadmap for Digitalisation and AI in the Energy Sector, in line with the objectives of the Apply AI Strategy, to fast-track the deployment of AI across the energy system, while managing the risks responsibly.

This event, opened by European Commission Executive Vice-President for Tech sovereignty, Security and Democracy, Henna Virkkunen, and Commissioner for Energy and Housing, Dan Jørgensen, explored both the opportunities of AI in energy and the new energy needs for powering AI in Europe.
