This time I attempt to upgrade my drivetrain on my Bridgestone RB2 with a compact (34-50T) hollowtech II crankset. Will it work with my short cage rear, and front mech? On paper, it shouldn't, but join me, and let's find out together!
For quite a long time i was curious about swapping my cranks to a compact one, in order to make climbing a bit more efficient. I really loved my original crankset though, it wasn't easy to let them take a rest in the parts bin.
