The Holi Festival of Colours Tour is a series of musical events that takes place in different countries. On this day, people throw powdered paint, known as gulal (hindi) or rang (nepali), at each other. For one day the difference between castes, religions and gender are set aside and everyone is equal.
The first festival of this kind took place on June 29, 2012, in Berlin on the grounds of the Postbahnhof.
Holi Festival is held in different cities of different countries depending on the year. The focus is especially on Germany, because the founders of the organization are from Germany. While in 2013 only a few European countries participated, by 2015 the number of countries had risen to over 60, spread across all continents.
