Thumper and Molly decide its time to burrow and get ready for a family. A local ruffian Rabbit visits regulary but can't figure out the fence. This gets Molly and Thumper preparing the nest.
Rabbits burrow and then make what's called a "stop". This disguises the nest so predators can't find it. They have lined the inside area with straw and grasses, then closed it back up.
These are Mini Rex Castor rabbits. Castor is the color - chestnut browns, reds, black tips, with white and tan belly, white tail.
