During life, many people find it easy to succumb to difficult situations. They lose sight of the happiness that is right in front of them, and abandon their dreams and aspirations. Having overcome various personal and familial problems, I would have abandoned the dreams I had for the future had I not trusted my inner light. After a near death experience, I decided to follow my dreams again and become the person I always knew I was. In hopes of guiding others to their own happiness, this talk will share the experiences and wisdom I gained along the way, as well as how to find one’s inner light.
Zack was born in the small town of Narragansett, Rhode Island in the United States. Determined to follow his childhood dreams of living and working in Japan, he transferred to myriad universities along the way. Eventually transferring to the University of Massachusetts Amherst, he came to ICU as a study abroad student and fell in love with his life in Japan. Zack decided to extend his stay by another year, graduating from UMass at ICU next summer. Upon graduation he has decided to follow his dream by living and working in Japan for the foreseeable future.
