The beautiful sidewalk, up to 5 meters wide, has finally been “revived” after many years of abandonment, overgrown with weeds that covered the entire path. This is the result of our Clean up Lawn group’s efforts, driven by volunteer spirit and determination to turn a neglected, messy road into a neat and clean space. For years, the local authorities hardly paid attention to this area, leaving trash, weeds, and scattered stones that made residents feel discouraged whenever passing by. When we happened to walk past this place, we discovered that such a beautiful sidewalk was being hidden under wild grass, so we quickly made a plan to clean it up. After just one full day of nonstop work, our team completely transformed the sidewalk’s appearance: weeds were cleared, trash was collected, and stones were neatly arranged. Many nearby residents, upon witnessing the new scene, could not hide their surprise—some were even moved, as they once thought this sidewalk would remain forgotten forever. Now, the area is not only a spacious and airy walkway but also a highlight that makes the whole neighborhood brighter and more civilized. This small yet meaningful action by our Clean up Lawn group has shown that when the community comes together, even abandoned corners of the city can be powerfully revived.
