Voting for 116 municipalities and seven municipal corporations of Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Ramagundam, Mahbubnagar, Nalgonda, Mancherial, and Kothagudem in Telangana concluded on Wednesday, with the State Election Commission reporting a voter turnout of 73.01%.
The counting of votes is scheduled for February 13 (Friday). Earlier, as part of the electoral roll revision exercise, authorities had deployed 29,656 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) across the state. Over 52 lakh voters participated in the electoral process to decide fate of 13,000 candidates in the fray.
