1947 ਦੀ ਵੰਡ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਿਖੀ ਗਈ ਇਕ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਕਾਲੀ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਸੀ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਲੱਖਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਿੰਦਗੀ ਪਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਜਾੜ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਪਿੰਡ ਮੋਹੀ ਕਲਾਂ, ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ, ਉਹ ਥਾਂ ਸੀ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਦੀਆਂ ਤੱਕ ਪਿਆਰ ਅਤੇ ਭਰੋਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਿਤਾਇਆ। ਜਕਰੀਆ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਉਹ ਮਿੱਠੀਆਂ ਯਾਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿਚ ਸੰਜੋ ਕੇ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਉਹ ਦੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਪਿੰਡ ਵਿਚ ਸਭ ਇਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਦੋਸਤ ਪਰਤਾਪ ਸਿੰਘ, ਪੁਰਾਣਾ ਸਕੂਲ, ਮਸਜਿਦ ਅਤੇ ਗੁੱਗਾ ਮਾੜੀ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ।
